7 Summits

There are two lists in the world for the „Seven Summit Program” – the first one contains the ones which have climbed Carstensz and the second – the ones, which have climbed Kosciuszko. This is due to the lack of consensus between the geographers and the mountaineers regarding the world’s division. Although mountaineers consider climbing the Carstensz Pyramid in Indonesia a greater achievement, statisticians still recommend the Kosciuszko mountain in Australia. Many mountaineer names can be found in the first list, as well as in the second one.
